> Aluria Lost Their Way
Unfortunately we cannot
recommend Aluria's products as one of the best ThiefWare removal
software packages available. Since they lowered their ThiefWare standards to allow the
WhenU ThiefWare to exist on your computers, we won't promote them any longer. It's a shame
too because they did do a very good job until they put their pockets ahead of your right
to actually be ThiefWare free. At one time it would delete most all ThiefWare when other
related products failed. Now their software looks prettier, but their standards have been
compromised by partnering with the WhenU ThiefWare (allowing WhenU to use their software
to act as a spyware removal tool) and putting that particular company in their protected
list.
We wonder if they will start adding other ThiefWare to their
protected lists that fits their new low standards of what ThiefWare is and isn't. We know
what we want. Aluria evidently forgot what their business was. We want to be free of the
REAL ThiefWare out there, not the fake incorrectly labeled ThiefWare like cookies. They in
so many words have put cookies as more dangerous than the WhenU ThiefWare application that
has direct working access to your computer in order to track your whereabouts at all times
while surfing the netall in the name of serving you ThiefWare ads. Cookies don't have the ability to control your computer,
but yet the WhenU software is taken off the list and Cookies are flagged as the bad guys.
Talk about misplaced judgement.
Not The Affiliate's Friend Either:
They also touted themselves as the affiliate's friend at one time. Aluria making friends
with WhenU makes them the enemy of all affiliates and in general all Web site owners.
Affiliates played a very major role in Aluria's success and then Aluria betrays the very
Affiliates who helped them to get where they are. WhenU has caused many affiliate site
owners to lose their commissions and then take credit for the referral when the affiliate
was the one that made the referral. And it pushes up ads of competitors over site owner's
sites without the site owner's permission all without paying the site owner ad
commissions. WhenU is one of the biggest parasites on the net. Now Aluria seems to condone
this action by partnering with WhenU.
Then on top of that, they went back on their word and decide to flag
innocent affiliate network cookies as possible dangers so that people will want to delete
them. Some time ago they promised to avoid flagging cookies as spyware and now they went
back on that promise. Rather than educating the user about how cookies are not dangerous,
Aluria's actions help perpetuate the myth of harmful cookies. Cookies are not harmful.
It's a sad time when an anti-spyware software company allows their software
to be licensed to a ThiefWare company, the very software they vow to protect us against.
