| Get The ThiefWare.com Newsletter and News
Alerts Sent to You. |
At this time we are not accepting new subscribers through our current
opt-in newsletter system. We are exploring a more robust service to provide a newsletter
subscription service. Please check back at another time in order to subscribe. Thanks for
your understanding.
With this issue being a major
problem, it seems it is not going away anytime soon. If you want to keep updated about the
latest regarding ThiefWare, simply subscribe to our newsletter and news alert service.
What You Get
You will get a newsletter once every 1 to 3 months (12 or less times a year). You will
also get ThiefWare News Alerts. News alerts will be
sent on a case by case schedule meaning that they will be sent to you when something
important happens (i.e. Looksmart is now advertising with eZula, get the latest RidText
version, etc.). ThiefWare.com may send up to 4 alerts a month but expects that the
frequency won't be more than 1 or 2 times a month if even that. They will be kept short
and to the point.
Our Focus
With no end in sight for unscrupulous activity on the net, you will likely want to know
the latest about the unethical use of Internet technology and how you can protect
yourself. We focus on technology that directly affects your Web site's well being, your
online business, and other sneaky technical tricks that people are using to undermine the
honest world through the Internet. We need to stop or block this sort of activity. If we
don't stop it by doing what we can, we can expect this activity to run rampant.
The first line of defense is knowledge. With that knowledge, you have
power to more effectively fight the people responsible for unethical behavior on the Web.
UCE (spam) and Signing Up Others Besides Yourself
We do not permit you to add other people to our News Service. If
your friends and family want the service, please tell them to sign up on their own -->
(Click here to notify them). Signing up
other people for newsletters can create problems (everything from confusion to thinking
they got spammed). We value our relationship with our Net-Neighbors. The last thing we
want to do is irritate people with email they didn't ask for. We oppose the use of spam
and will never promote spam as a way to contact people.
Were You Added Without Your Permission?
Did you get added to our list without your permission? If so, let us know. We may be able
to track down the guilty individual through various means. This is not a 100% guarantee
that we will catch the person responsible, but we will do what is reasonably possible. We
will also promptly remove your email address from our mailing list so that you don't
continue to get newsletters and alerts from us (unless you change your mind and sign up as
yourself).
Lastly, because the ThiefWare newsletter and alerts get sent sporadically
(no hard schedule), please be mindful if you did sign up but forgot about it.
