- You send a message to the ThiefWare vendors that you do not support their unscrupulous ThiefWare practices.
- You help Web surfers be aware of the dangers of ThiefWare.
Fraudulent Claims: If you spot a site displaying our Badge of Honor and you know the site uses ThiefWare software, please let us know so that we may contact them. We will do everything in our power to get them to remove the badge if they are making fraudulent claims inconsistant with what the badge stands for. We will also list them in the “ThiefWare ad list” of sites working with ThiefWare.
It's Simple:

Please do not alter them by resizing, changing the colors, or by further compressing them.
Doing so may degrade the quality of the images.
Save one or more of these images to your Web hosting space. If you put the image in
your root web directory, source reference should work as is. If you place the image
elsewhere, you will need to adjust the source reference of the image (see example above).
Hotlinking: Please do not hotlink to images found here as they might be moved in the
future. For various reasons hotlinking may cause broken images. It also adds to our
bandwidth costs if our server is forced to serve up images for external Web sites.

Instructions:
Simply copy and paste the code into your site.
You may need to change the source reference URL of the image in the image reference if you
place the image elsewhere (not in the root Web directory). All codes are set to open a
new window to keep your site open within a browser window.
Currently, the copy-n-paste code will work without modification if you put
your badge(s) in the root Web directory here (example):
http://www.yoursite.com/
If you put your image here:
http://www.yoursite.com/images/
...then you would change this reference (see red text):
<img src="/icon.tw5.gif"
width="88" height="88" alt="Fighting for a ThiefWare Free
Web">
to:
<img src="/images/icon.tw5.gif"
width="88" height="88" alt="Fighting for a ThiefWare Free
Web">
Making sure that the slash mark ( / ) is put in
front of the rest of the image source URL will ensure correct referencing from any page on
your site no matter how deep the page is within your directory structure.
May your web ventures prosper.
Have a great day :-)
